6 stations for the ear, 30 minutes for the software.
A reflection of form and exploration of structure as a landscape of microscopic units that form continuous sound. The context for "prechange" is post-digital in a sense that ambivalence between analogue and digital has been transcended, therefore a feeling of 'analogueness' withing digitaly created sound is only incidental and fictional. Still nothing is locked. Now, sliders, parameters and connections move by themselves, creating auto-dynamics, a non-repeatable mechanic pattern. From unintended use of tools - software - previously unknown condition emerges: a sound-biotope, audial climate that constantly changes, pushed about by interfaces and synthesis algorhytms created by sofwtare developer and abuses by never less curious laptop composer. The enigmatic situation explodes when she merges with programmer and reverse engineer.
Prechange is a condition before the change and a fundamental change before the emergent condition.
